Default Natural History Museum - Search for 4K Cave Footage

    Hello all,

My name is Harry Brayne, I'm a production assistant working at the Natural History Museum London.

We are putting together a short film about exploration of and the life inside of caves. The film will be screened in an upcoming exhibition.

I am searching for 4K or higher res footage of diving.

To be more specific we are looking for shots of...

    - Footage of cenotes, drone footage would be ideal

    - Travelling to the cave entrance with your diving gear. We want to show how difficult these caves can be to access

    - Any moments that show how difficult the actual dives can be. So maybe the camera wobbling, bad visibility/silting or a very narrow tunnel

    - We really want to show how these caves transform from tight tunnels and entrances into open cathedral spaces

    - Any footage of living cave specimens being collected

    - Completing the dive and resurfacing

If you have anything that might be relevant please send me across a message and we can discuss the project further.

    Thank you all!

    Warm regards,

    Harry

I would contact Phillip Lehman in the Dominican Republic or Natalie Gibbs at Under the Jungle in the Playa area.

This is a very Florida centric forum and when you say cenotes I am assuming you are interested in the Mexican caves. You will probably have better luck with that on Facebook. There are a few pages are very popular with the Mexican cave diving crowd there.

Default Thanks for your response / high res divers

    Hi Bamafan,

Thank you for your quick reply.

I'm in conversation with Phillip and am waiting on a response from Natalie. Both have fantastic footage online that we would be very excited to use.

4k footage underwater cave footage is still proving difficult to find and we need high res files because of the way the film will be screened in the exhibition. Do you know of any other divers who shoot on high res cameras?

If you're looking for crappy video, I shoot crappy video with the best of them.

Seriously, though, Jill, Becky or Brett Hemphill and the KUR team.

Take only photos, leave only bubbles, kill only time.

    Thank you everyone!

    Lots to look through here.

We've gone in to the edit today and will be working on it for the next few weeks - so if anyone has anymore information or footage, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

I'll post on here when it does.
