    Default custom DUI suit experience?

Does anyone in the CDF internet ether have any experience changing from a stock size DUI drysuit to a custom fit one? I've got slightly longer than normal legs and am fairly skinny as far as scuba divers go, so the stock suits tend to be bulky and the legs always feel a tad short (i really feel it when extending the legs for a frog kick).

Anyway, I've been sucking it up for years but recently have started to wonder how much of difference a custom suit might make and thought I'd ask for personal experiences.

I ordered a custom suit. Got the wrong color pattern (they discounted it once I let them know), but the fit was great.

Did you notice any difference in fit/mobility relative to a stock suit?

I've seen these suits but have wondered a bit about durability.

Closer to saving $2k isn’t it? I’ve heard nothing but good things about Seaskin however I don’t have any personal experience with them. I’ve owned a stock size as well as a custom DUI and both of them were a love/hate at times. Several people on this forum have the Seaskin, hopefully they will chime in.

I guess I should mention I was looking at the FLX, with my previous experience being stock Medium CF200 and TLS350.

Do yourself a favor and collect a consensus from the group and then talk to Steve Gamble about his recommendation of the best suit for your hard earned dollars. Steve sees a lot of suits and has great insight into what makes a great suit and what won't last. I had this exact conversation with him a week ago, you should too.
