Perhaps a good time for a picture to get things back on track?
Nothing personal Tony, seems like you have your exit strategy well planned out.

They are over-rated and highly over-paid.

I don't believe in predestination.... that being said when its your time to go... its your time to go.... When I was training to guide on the Chattooga river, there was a an older gentleman on the Section IV raft trip (one of the most dangerous commercial runs in the south east) who was killed by a tree falling off a bluff and hitting HIM.... no one else in the raft was touched. Yes death sucks and I don't advocate rappelling that 300' drop without a rope but having been in extreme sports since high school.... when its your time.... its your time. Good instructor/bad instructor.... crazy wild pushing the limits cave diver or super conservative pushing no limits... A good student can get a bad instructor and never have a problem in a cave. A good instructor can get a bad student (or four) and they'll be dead before the year is over.

Chris is right, its not about who or why someone died, but when they die and it is in a cave it is all about what can we do to keep the cave open.... no disrespect to anyone who has lost a friend in a cave diving incident, but really the thought about are they going to close the cave now eventually passes through the thought process....

and to quote Rich in closing.....

Dive Safe (its the best we can hope for)

Why yes that was me in shorts and a t-shirt @ the 700' marker
