The larger problem is how much flood insurance costs in flood prone areas. I suspect you can get flood insurance at 5,000' elevation a LOT cheaper than places like New Orleans, and south Florida.

I am getting ridiculous feeder bands in Jupiter this morning. 80 plus due to mini tornadoes trying to form and the Irma is 200 miles away!

Strap on a couple of 120's and turtle. You won't go anywhere.

Why is cave diving so internet based?

I saw in another thread that you got some flooding inside the house. Sorry to hear that. At least the roof is still intact.

Forum members in the storm path, please check in so we know you are OK. We had a lot of limbs fall in Atlanta, and 2 deaths. My house seems fine, but I won't know until daylight. It looks like a big limb is on my rental car. I will go out to look after daylight.

Glad you're ok. Fingers crossed for home and cars!

My house appears OK, but the tailgate is bent on my rental truck. I will have to wait for drier weather to blow all the debris off the roof, to inspect for small holes in the roof, but I am not seeing any water inside. I went for a walk, and there are treed and power lines down all around my neighborhood. i consider myself very lucky.

There was a news story on TV about a lady driving home yesterday, and a tree falling right in front of her. Her front tires hit the tree, and the back of the car went up in the air. It almost flipped over. The car behind her got it all on a dashcam. Pretty amazing her only damage was a scrape from the seatbelt.

I'm very lucky despite those 100+ mph winds. Lost power to home and shop, but power came on last night to both, and debris and damage minimal. I am opening up the shop despite the fact that Starbucks (and many others) next block is still without power and closed.
