German Yanez on Cozumel was down there within the past year. I think he laid some line. I am guessing cave diving is really undeveloped there. He would be the one I would ask.

There are a lot of dry (and possibly wet) caves in the Peten region.
At this hotel (http://www.fincaixobel.com/) they have a cave map drawn by an American group who were looking for diveable caves. It's a very small map so I don't think they had much success.
Diving-wise there is very little infrastructure in the limestone areas. But well worth checking out if you have a portable compressor and the inclination.

I've been dry caving in Guatemala, but there weren't any sumps where I went.

On my way to the Land of Enchantment!
