    Default Texas Torpedo Intro

    ame: David Frisk

    Married?:
Freshly engaged (Dec 9th) to Monica. Wedding July 7th in Cozumel. She's Cavern & Intro certified but is a 80 x3'er diver at heart. That being said, she's cool with my cave and wreck habbits..

    Family?:
Our to girls (dogs) that came with Monica.. Planning on the real deal once we are married. I have a brother who's about to take his OW, and both parent's who were OW certified last year in their mid to late 60's and love it.

    Hobbies other then cave diving:
Wreck Diving, Building (converting) my 7x16' cargo trailer to a scuba toy hauler conversion, General Aviation, Giant Scale IMAC R/C Aerobatics, R/C Heli 3-D aerobatics, Personal Watercraft "jetski" Racing, Travel... Travel.. Travel.. (Dive Destinations, preferably)

    Occupation:
    Social Media

    Favorite Cave to dive:
So far, Cenote Dreamgate.. JB in the states, thou EN is special to me even though I haven't been that far in yet..

Cave Cert date(s) and more info:

I took my original Cavern & Intro class November of 2010 but never received a cert due to my leaving with the paperwork (literally), and subsequently moving to Cozumel, not to return until January of this year, when I learned what timing out was.

While I was living in Cozumel I was introduced to Dennis Weeks on the mainland and had the pleasure of diving with him in a number of different cenotes when bringing divers over from the Island. I especially liked The Pit and Dreamgate. I'm looking forward to getting back down to dive with him as a full cave diver.

Last June my (now) Fiance' and I signed up to do cavern & intro with Rob Neto.. Rob is a fantastic instructor (as I'm sure many of you know) and his instruction was by far better and more informative than the cavern & intro training I had previously received. I ended up finishing my full cave with German Yanez this past October in Cozumel after scheduling difficulties (mine) kept me from getting back out to Rob in Florida before an already planned Coz trip. German is also a great instructor who I learned quite a bit more from and look forward to diving with again.

My next step (hopefully later this month) is to head back out to Marianna to train again with Rob, this time in side mount. I've gotten a lot of tips from friends and people I've met, not to mention info here at CDF, but I think some in-person training will be a big help getting my gear dialed in properly.

After that, I plan to get back out to Florida as often as possible before we move there in 2014. I've driven there and back from Texas 6 or 7 times since 09'.. Might as well move to where we love being..

I hope to get to meet many more of you in 2012 and beyond..

    Regards,
    David

    ROFLMAO

How cute. Kama Sutra on the safety stop is cool with me but face sucking in a mask is not so easy. You both need low profile masks to make it work. I find it more enjoyable topside with no mask at all.

Married?: Been there, done that. In a long-term, long-distance relationship; she's in Tucson, I'm in Tampa. She's getting restive...

Family?: 1 daughter, college graduate, lives in Portland. She's the one that started me diving; a dive trip is what she asked for for her college graduation, so we both got OW certs and went to the Bahamas.

1 hobby other then cavediving: Downhill skiing

Favorite Cave to dive: Don't have one yet; just got cavern cert so all I've seen is a peek into Peacock & Devil's Ear/Eye. I'll know more when I've seen more. I like what I've seen so far.
