My thoughts and prayers are with Kathleen, her family, and her friends.

Was trying to reconnect with Gary and this is where my internet search lead me to. What a great loss and too soon. Gary and I were roommates when he and I were in the Navy. When we weren't underway on a submarine in the very early nineties we were diving at Cow, Peacock, Ginnie, or Little River or we might be doing martial arts or gaming. We were inseparable in those years, but he settled in Gainesville and I stayed in the Navy and lost touch. I am in Guam right now and wanted to call him and see if we could get together and go diving when I got back to the states. I guess he will always kind of be diving with me. He was my first dive buddy and we made hundreds of dives together. He taught me everything I knew about diving. I haven't seen him in many years and now I suddenly miss him terribly. Fair winds and following seas my friend. I waited too long.

Hello Matt. I've heard so many stories of your adventures together. He really enjoyed the crazy overnight drives just to squeeze in some dives.
If you still need a buddy when you come back look me up. Gary taught me practically everything I know about diving too, so we would probably make a good team.

Plus, diving is my favorite way to honor him

Moonfuzzy, thank you very much. I would love to meet you when I return. Thank you for the reply. I wanted to pm you, but it felt presumptuous. Diving would be great. I will pm you my information and maybe we could do just that on my return from Guam.
