    Default Greenwood60 finger spools

Numb nuts....errrr, Greenwood60 made me a few finger spools. I thought they were pretty cool and just wanted to share my thoughts about them. Most of the ones I got were prototypes, but I think he is going to be making more soon and he make make some changes to the new ones. So I will let him chime in on that matter.

I got 2 types from him a 25' and ~40' ones. The 25' ones are about half the size of my LM 25' finger spools and the 40' ones are about 3/4 the size. They are made of delrin and are nicely made. What I liked about them is that there is no longer a hole that goes through the spool, just smoothed indentations. It can now hold more since the spindle is smaller in the center. Also, it makes it much smoother when laying down a jump. Your fingers just hold a little pressure and it rotates evenly the whole time.

I put the 2 Greenwood60 spools next to a LM 25' spool and a HOG 160' spool for reference. The white spool is the 40' and the small black one without a clip is the 25'.

What jcock is trying to say, is I *had* some spools made. Technically out of acetal or polyoxymethylene, since Delrin is a Dupont trademark. I'm playing with a few different sizes. There are a handful floating around with forum members now. I do have a few of the 2"x1" (40'-45') spools left, if anyone wants some. The ones I have left are black... Jordon wanted all the white/pink ones.

I saw em and just had to have one. Didnt get a chance to try it yet but I like the finger indentations as well. Right now its a keychain but pretty cool.

I got two, way better than the cheap spools I had, I just don't have much if any need for more than 20 or 30 ft on a jump spool. I particularly like the indentations for your thumb and forefinger, much easier to play the line out that way, I think he's on to something.

He just really made some for himself. I am hopefully trying to get him to make more if enough people want them.

    $20.

These are small enough, I put a D-ring on top of my right shoulder and hang 3 of them. I don't even notice them, and it's a lot easier for me to reach than a butt D-ring.

Here is one of the latest prototypes (right), next to one of the 2x1" (left) like I had this weekend.

Thanks. Let me know. I'm trying to gauge interest before proceeding. This first batch is kind of a loss leader at this price (and more importantly, quantity).
