We kid about local customs and the way the college kids act at Ginnie Springs (it's the only spring locally that's privately owned, so folks can drink alcohol)....but the reality is that most people here are super nice and friendly, certainly more pleasant than in california where folks will look at you like a lunatic if you talk to them in the check out line.

I'd just be sure to bring a mat to keep the sand/dirt out of your car, there are plenty of folks renting houses in cave country, and print out this map, it's great for finding your way around the area

Thanks guys for all the information, at this time I´m still planing my trip and try to see if I can get a Budy to dive, I gone check the prices , I still do not know if I take my sidemount course there or I continue diving in backmount, I have some experience in sidemount .
I have to compare the prices with other trip to Mexico or a trip to Florida .

I usually fly into Jacksonville and rent a car there, only because it is a straight flight from Vegas.
