Yes, but Sludge isn't on RBW consistently, I am. Here is the guy, unless someone used the same picture from his avatar on CDF and just happens to live in Elyria, Ohio also.

I'll happily pay the paypal fees as cheap insurance rather than accept a seller's offer to call it a "gift". If you do a direct transfer getting the money back is pretty simple, with a credit card it's a little more involved from either pay par or the cc company, but either way if you sent it as a gift, the paypal response will be "What's your problem? You said it was a gift."

First time I ever had to do this to somebody, feel kinda bad! But really mad too that I didn't get the plates
But yes I will phone my bank tomorrow see what happens! Says they can make a decision up to 90 days later!
Just wanna give him a swift kick in the butt
"Goods" would have been better, since you were buying plates, but you could make a semantic argument and state you were paying for him to machine plates for you. Either way Pay Pal got their fee on the transaction so they should cover you in a dispute, and the burden is on the seller to prove he shipped the item and/or that you received it.

With Pay Pal or a cc company, the critical issue will be filing the claim in a timely manner and if you don't meet their specified timeline, you're out of luck.

Keep in mind I was just giving the specs on someone on Rebreather World whose screen name is Bonediver. I almost never get on there, so there's a good chance it's someone else.

Exactly, and while my experiences trading stuff here, at TDS and SB have been all positive, I am usually trading with people that I have never met. A little over 2.9% fee is not going to make or break a worthwhile trade.

Glad it all worked out for you. He really is a good guy, I think he might of just gotten a bit overwhelmed.
