Someone mentioned dryer sheets in another thread, and rather than hijack that thread, I thought I'd start a new one. Recently my girlfriend Hazel (who wears Suzie nametags) got me to try using dryer sheets to ward off pesky mosquitos. You rub the thing over exposed skin and it does appear to work. I have no idea what the active ingredient is that makes it work, but I have come to swear by them. Easy to keep in the car without danger of arisol cans exploding in the Texas heat. I put a couple in my hammock with me at night and I have had great success. It's also nice to smell good rather than like a bug strip.
Just thought I'd throw that out there. I'm betting someone here is an expert in the topic and can enlighten us how this works.
