Cave Diver Arrow GoPro scooter mount

Cam strap with plastic buckle, 4" PVC 1/2 section, 3/4" PVC with caps as bouyancy tubes, GoPro tripod mount, 1/4"-20 Camera Screw.

Cut a section of 4" PVC in half, rout a slot on each side for cam strap, tap center hole for tripod screw. Cut 3/4" PVC to whatever length necessary to attain neutral buoyancy. Glue caps onto 3/4" tubes, glue tubes to mount.

We did not need to adjust the scooter weight pouches after attaching the GoPro rig.

Couldn't you just add one of the adhesive mounts to the scooter and one of the adhesive leash things they make now?

I wondered that too, but think the tether isn't necessary. I think maybe they were more worried about the slight negative buoyancy the GoPro has.
Whatever that adhesive is, it's terribly strong, you can't pull it of of my helmet.

When you get an X balanced just right, you don't want to screw around with it. The point was to balance the scooter and camera independently. The added height results in less/no scooter nose in the vid depending on where you place it fore/ aft.

I'm going to try one on my Mako on Saturday. My plan is to just use the surface mount. Since trim is already $___t on a Mako I'm not real worried about screwing it up any more adding the camera.

This is especially important when each of your batteries for a short body needs different weighting. Didn't want to add yet another level of complexity if we need to change the scooter battery between dives, or let a buddy borrow the set up on the fly.

Why the band? I just stuck one of the mounts that came with it right on the scooter.
