The relative lack of blood from the guy that got shot in the Butt is rather amazing, I'd had thought you would bleed a lot. I guess that wasn't self-inflicted was it?
I would rather hope that while shooting with others around the general idea would be to shoot down, that is to be above the fish so a miss goes in the sand. I know freeshafting you do that, or plan on losing a few $80 spears if you don't.
But, I hadn't thought about idiots, there are always those aren't there?

Yup. I had a patient with an inch and a half diameter dead spruce branch traversing his buttock in just the same way. He was a snowboarder that was off-trail in the woods, fell and landed in just the wrong place. The ski patrol had to get a bucksaw and saw the branch off the log. Hardly any bleeding until the offending object was removed in the OR.

You're also right about there being no shortage of idiots!

The spearfishing charter went off without a hitch, came back with AJ and Grouper. Had three great dives with PCDC and Mr.&Mrs. IowaCaveDiver, it was great meeting and diving with you guys!

Going back to do it again Oct 5, boat departs at 0800, plan this time is to spearfish Oct 5, run up the road to Mill Pond spend the night and rinse the gear Oct 6 in Jackson Blue. If interested let me know.
