    Default Not really Lost....

Dove Roubidoux Spring Today. Had every intention of diving at least 2-3 times. Went to go get fills up the street and they were closed. I was very disapointed, at myself for not checking ahead of time. Anyway to make a long story short I left my Dive Rite (old handle style) primary reel in the cave. If anyone could grab it on there way out and let me know or drop it at Odyssey Scuba I would be greatly appreciative.

Perhaps he left the reel in place for the next dive ... that did not happen because fills were not available? Just guessing.

Exactly what I was thinking. Been there done that it and does save time for the next dives.

I think what he's saying is that he left it on purpose, but then once he learned he couldn't get fills didn't go back and get it. Pretty common in the US to leave a reel for later dives, as the lines are cut back into the cave for whatever reason.

Thank you Michael Angelo for retrieveing my reel. It was a pleasure for me to meet and have lunch with you yesterday. I look forward to diving with you. Thanks again.

And yes DiveConJeff that is exactly what happened. Thanks to you all that stood up for me on this one, I appreciate the understanding...

Michael Angelo is a true gentelman, and an excellent dive buddy! Glad you got your reel back. Hope to run into you some time at the spring this year (after I finish teaching all these bloody rec classes!)
