But, down here in SW Ga., it's been a relatively cool summer so far?

Actually, you are correct, but I love southern expressions and could not resist the urge to use one here

BTW, I've never heard the one about two rats and a sock. It will go into my repertoire!

Yes It was hot in Vermont my Turvis Tumbler sweat. Morgan by the way is not abused he neglected to mention that I carried the beer out there for him.

I think we can relate to the results, regardless of the stimulus...
When you're there you know there's a There there.

    LOL - Yup!

So now it's Saturday morning and a much more reasonable and pleasant 65 degrees - time to stack wood! I am not even going to look in the direction of the hammock until it's done.

Mike, this is good bike riding weather I peddled 16 miles fri. and 7 more yesterday. When it is warm like this my old muscles don't hurt near as much.

It is 103 in Atlanta today, and hit 106 yesterday I went out to work on my plane, and almost got heat stroke. I had to give up when it went over 100.

106...Argh! And probably humid too. It's 76 here and people are out swimming in the lakes, tubing in the rivers, and doing all those things people do on a hot (by VT standards) summer day.

The 91 I was complaining about in the first post was the hottest I've ever seen it at my house. We've lived there 16 years and have never seen 90 before. 38 below zero, but not 90 above. The next day it was 92, then it went back to the normal 70's for late June.

6 or 7 years ago Line Squirrel was telling me that sometimes in Florida it was too hot to go diving. I couldn't imagine such a thing. Then in October a few years later we were at Manatee and the heat index was 105. I nearly died lugging gear in to Friedman's. On the road out to the parking spot for Friedman's, there was a deer lying in the shade panting. I began to understand what he meant.

Hi Rod! Keep on riding your bike instead of your crazy horse and your old bones won't hurt near as much!
