    Default Plug for LP 85's and AL80s

    anyone knows what size rubber plug fits perfect into a tank neck during cleaning. #4 ?

    If I'm understanding correctly....I get a 3/4" pvc threaded plug (local home improvement store) put a tank valve o-ring on it and you got a seal.

    could have thought about that myself, may even have one of those laying around. just placing an order for some brewing stuff and noticed the plugs and remembered that my old ones all fell apart last time I used them. Guess I'll try the pvc plug instead.

    I just use old yoke valves that I had laying around.

    Yep, but you don't really need the oring. Just tighten them down hand tight plus 1/4 turn with a wrench.

    My local dive shop has handfuls of the plastic tank neck plugs. From tanks being shipped in without valves. Ask around your local dive shop?
    Take only photos, leave only bubbles, kill only time.
