I did, but not for long. You run out of big passage pretty soon. I only rode the 1200, and it goes from dead slow to fast enough to rip your mask off, and make your regs freeflow. The variable speed is nice for matching speed to your buddy.

II got to test out a 1200 at Hole in the Wall last week. I was teaching a cave DPV class followed by a day of guided dives. My student's buddy was on the guided divds so I took it for a spin on the exit. It is definitely impressive. It's fast and I really like the trigger style.

How does it stack up against your Magnus?

It's faster and I really like the trigger mechanism. I like my Magnus but my next scooter may be a Genesis.

Magnus has about 60lbs thrust, these have about 90lbs.
Trigger is a lot better then those on the SS versions.
I used a magnus for about 2 weeks and I like the Genesis a lot better

Seeing as how I'm a believer in "their ain't no free lunch" how big is the battery in these things? I would assume if you could ride something at 90 lbs of thrust, it would have to kill the battery pretty quick? How about heat build up in the battery pack? Amp draw at full thrust?

The Genesis weighs 45 lbs and has 1.5 hour run time on max speed. I believe it's 4-6 at slower speeds.

I sort of answered some of my own questions when I looked up the stats, it's I believe a 1200 W/hour battery and draws 1150 W at full tilt, sort of means 1 hour at full tilt. 1150 Watts is close to about all you can pullout of a standard wall receptacle, that is a huge amount of current. Of course I would assume you really couldn't use full speed for very long without being too fatigued so it's sort of mute.
