You could always put the kindle app on an iPhone and house it that way, just a thought....

And as I understand it once company can even use the pressure top into a depth meter and make a dive computer app.
Kindle is cheap, I assume your long stop is the shallow one? I think it would be OK if left in one of those bags, if left shallow, but worst cast Kindle is much cheaper than a phone. Not back lit though.
Why not just leave a handful of pages from a paperback book in a dry bag attached to your O2 tank. Just pull them out during deco and read.

You could always give one of these a try:

I was unable to find any depth ratings for it or related "bag" type products for the Kindle.
There are starting to gain popularity locally.. Not sure I would put my iPhone 4s in one and take it down to depth but it would work great for those with phones wanting something to do on deco..

I have an H2Audio iDive 300 but they currently aren't as functional with newer iPhones / iPods thanks to Apple changing a few things up in how they can be controlled from an outside source. I'm also not sure if they are still producing them. They've been out of stock for quite some time. http://www.h2oaudio.com/store/waterp...-speakers.html
I do lots of deco. I want the same thing. I tried putting my Kindle in one of these Dry Cases, but even at 8 feet depth, at the bottom of a swimming pool, all the buttons were being pushed by the pressure. I don't think it'll work at 20 feet or deeper, unfortunately.
Rich, you can put an iPhone into an iDive300 housing but you won't be able to turn the pages in iBooks.

Edit: Gates (video housings) did look at making a housing for the Sony e-reader, but it never got off the ground as there wasn't enough interest in the product.

Yeah, what is this "book" you speak of?
But how about two Freezer Ziplocs? One inside the other for redundancy.

LOL...
What can I say. I still like the good old days!
That's what i meant by Dry Bag. LOL. I only used one bag though. Who cares if the pages got wet. I took them out of the bag to read them anyway. Just stuffed it all under the tubing holding the reg hose in place.
The only problem I found is either not taking enough pages to read and getting bored, or taking to many pages and spending extra time on deco because I wanted to finish.![]()
