Thread: Angled valves?

  1. #1

    Default Angled valves?

Who still makes an angled valve? I either need some sherwood genesis valves in 3/4" or similar matching L/R valves. I would like to avoid the genesis valves if possible since it took me 4 months to find L/R manifold plugs for the 7/8 set I currently have in my HP 100's.

I would be interested in a set of those manifold plugs. Do you know of any that are available?

I have a Genesis manifold 3/4" with the angled valves that I would be willing to sell. Looks like Northeast Scuba Supply carries the plugs. Let me know if your interested.

how much you want for them? and no Northeast does not have the plugs, this plug has been out of production for a long time and they've been sold out of plugs for a while too.

The one place I did find with plugs wanted $20 each and they're out too now. Unless I buy pre/plugged valves or your manifolds come with plugs, they're is a good possibility it could be sitting unused for a long time just like my HP100's were when I went sidemount and had no plugs for them.

I love angled valves, got three sets of tanks that all use Genesis 3/4" threaded valves.
Ever surprised by the amount of holes involved in cave diving.

I just talked to a machinist that said he could probably make the plugs. They will be exactly like the ones for other manifolds except made with slightly increased barrel length so that both o-rings can seal.

I need a ball park idea how much of a market there is for these? I've gotten a few pm's from people asking about them. Also, what kind of market would there be if someone made complete valves with the angled face? I know someone else I might be able to nudge into making them provided the machining cost isn't obscene and they will actually sell.
