Is this above or below my love handle?

I have not found a way to do that. It is probably because I am using AL80's and I need that front d-ring to clip off to at 1800 psi or so. The front d rings dang near tough my harness buckle. I have to thread the light to go just behind the back d-ring and wear it up right at the top of the tank on the right side. It is a slim line canister so it barely comes above the tank and does not go above my, as my wife calls it, "big butt". Well, that was before I flooded it.

Have you ever tried using it on your waist in backmount?

I see LM just upgraded the SM version of the 12W LED with an on-off switch, so it's no longer a two-hand job. I have the older version and like it.

I am not a SM'er but I use a larger belt slide and the canister does not slides.

From what i've been told, this light is exclusive to Go Sidemount in Mexico so you would have to order it from them. I was originally interested in this light but due to the limited availability, went with the standard version instead. I have yet run it to a situation where the switch would be needed but I am sure there are some.

Yeah, but you're little to start with too.

I have...I have the cord exiting downward (toward my feet) when using it BM...unlike my normal 21W HID LM which i have the cord exiting the cannister towards my head.

The extra cord length in BM rigged to your waist isn't a hassle...i tuck in what I dont use anyway even with a standard length light cord when deployed.

I've got a Green force w/the Flex II cannister, I have it on the waist strap, tucked in between the bac ksection and the wing - it's got enough cord to go to either hadn and since it's on the inside of the side ring on the wing, I never have to worry about losing it.
