it's installed now. had to jump through some hoops but it's good
is there a way to reopen the section wizard to edit a bunch of data in an entire section?

I heard back from the developer and I guess this is coming in the next release
For those (few?) of you using a Mac: I have Win7 64 on VirtualBox. The crosshairs are coloured black, which means i have to either do a lot of guesswork when moving the mouse, or download terraindata, so that the backgroundcolor changes.
Anyone else experiencing the same?
I recommend you use VirtualBox, restarting the computer JUST for using Ariane is a bit annoying. I tried the same approach (Boot camp) but haven't used it more than twice after VirtualBox got installed. Make room for installing Google Earth in there as well, otherwise you'll get an error message from Windows when exporting to Google, as Win does not know what to do with the kml-file.
I use Parallel Desktop and it works very well, I hate the PC interface though it like downgrading my Mac.

virtual box works great, and i love free things!
Good pointer on installing earth in the virtual instance, now exporting works great...but i need to get the gl drivers for my virtual boxes video card set correctly for a faster earth experience.
If the author of Ariane reads this thread i'd like to say thanks tons, i REALLY appreciate this software!
Did you see any critters in that cave? StygoBites.com
Wow I am impressed by how Ariane has come along. I looked at it a while ago when it was a baby. It was good then but needed to grow a bit which it most certainly has.
I just imported some data from Compass with LRUDS, then downloaded terrain data and now I have an incredible 3D rendering under the ground!
Love it! Nice one Sebastian!

Hi, this is Sebastien, the author of Ariane. I was told a couple of days ago there was a thread on cavediver.net about Ariane, which was already a big surprise for me ! The view of all your positive comments on Ariane was even a bigger surprise. So I just wanted to thank you all for using Ariane and be assured I'll be more then happy to hear all your comments and suggestions to improve the futur releases.
Cheers
Sebastien Kister

Ever surprised by the amount of holes involved in cave diving.
