Default Tektite Expedition 1900 Special Edition Aluminum body

Ran across a couple of these new still in the package but looked many years old. Curious if anyone has seen or used these lights. They are machined aluminum 19 led lights. The package advertises a wider beam than the standard version.

With the wide beam would they be decent low budget video lights for a future GoPro in smaller cave? The price was really good otherwise I wouldn't bother.

yes, i think so. I used an invtova with wide beam and at 4.7W it matches the 130 lumen output of the tektite 1900. I used just one, but two would be better. I now use a larger wide beam light...the i-torch video light at 650 lumen. you can see it here: http://www.divegearexpress.com/lights/itorchvideo.shtml

just invite me along and you can use my gopro. It's helmet mounted with the light.

while on the website take a look at the i-torch 555. a couple of those would be sweet with a gopro.

There must be a military contract with Tektite because I see their products at all the surplus stores (used, new, etc.) around Ft. Campbell. I don't have any experience with their products but had given up completely on screw top activated lights so didn't bother with any of the plastic versions I was seeing. I now use Intova and a UK with a switch.

I saw these and they are machined aluminum, look extremely well build, and only about 25 bucks new in box so I may give them a shot. Plus you can upgrade the led module fairly cheaply.

Anyone have any opinions on the Tektite performance with regards to flooding?
