Default Diving in or near Cordele, GA

Work is now moving me to Cordele, Georgia for a bit. Any diving up that way? Maybe the Chattahochee River? Any caves that have access?

    Thanks
    bob

Also need accomodations if you know anyone with rentals up that way.

Maybe an hour southwest and you're in Albany, where there are several options... by boat.

Getting someone to show them to you will be your biggest hurdle.
Ever surprised by the amount of holes involved in cave diving.

I live 30 miles to the east.and have spent an extensive amount of time in the caves in South GA,but you'll find all of them will require a boat, with a fair amount of work. Ironically there is a place that has interested me that is 10 miles away from Cordele, but will require some equipment to get a tree extricated that is in the entrance. Your best bet,is I75 south to north FL.

A couple hours south, and you're at Madison Blue Springs.

Pictures or estimated size of tree? I might be able to help.

Madison will be close to 3 hours, I would guess. No solo and restrictive hours.

Real issue is that I will most likely only be up during the week while I am working, Mon thru Fri. Travel home for weekends, 5.5 hours south. Diving every night if something were close is easy. Breaking away from my backlog of home duties to dive on the weekend is tough.

Oh, I do have a boat. These lakes or rivers or a combination?

If a local wants to show me a few holes...I have the boat.

    Bob,
If you and Cecilia want to meet in the middle some weekend, I know a great place for you to stay and it is real close to Anderson.

I'm sure we will find a time to come back. Its been hectic with work but being able to stay at home for a spell has been nice.

I will suggest to her that we might schedule something before it gets too warm, the weather is part of the fun for us up there.

    Thanks again for the hospitality!

There are some small, "dry" caves in the area, and one really nice U/W one. However, it is permit only.
