    Default Bands/Genesis manifold.

I have a complete genesis manifold/valves sitting in a closet almost new. It's the large neck, angled valves. I bought a set of PST 104s and want to replace the bands to a larger set of 3' bands and would like to replace the current manifold with the genesis manifold. I love the angled necks.

I know some of the older manifolds were fixed distance and had to be matched to the bands that went with them(at least that's what I've been told). Will the genesis manifold work with a brand new set of diverite 8inch by 3 inch bands?

I'm attaching a pic of the manifold in case there's questions on which one it is. photo.JPG

That's not a Genesis, it's a Sherwood. The width is not adjustable.

I have that manifold on all my doubles. I had to tell Dive Rite what tanks and manifold I had when I bought my bands, so they could sell me the right ones.

Sherwood. Sorry. I have a tendency to call all the Sherwood stuff Genesis.

Ok that helps. I'll call Dive Rite.

Called dive rite. The guy there seems to think the standard bands would work but wasnt overly convincing. He thinks the sherwood arent a fixed distance which doesnt seem right to me. I guess ill try them and see. My biggest concern would be either the spacing being too wide or too narrow which would stress the connection.

He's wrong - I've assembled many of them. But whatever he sells you may work. I have them on LP-80s, LP-95s, and used to be on LP-104s, all with Dive Rite bands.

But the ones on my LP-95s use a very skinny bolt - smaller than all the others I've had on doubles.

Yeah it didn't make sense to me either. It's going to be for LP104s, so we'll see what happens. I'm hoping it works out. I like the valves and don't want to have to replace them.
