    Default Razor Harness

Will a 4l hydration bag be enough for 4 al 80's with a 7mm wetsuit in the caves?

    Short Answer: No.

Long answer: I ordered the 6l, and really can't see any reason I shouldn't have just got the 10l. It's a matter of suit compression and buoyancy lost at depth, plus the weight of the gas with full tanks. You will most certainly need lead, and you want to be neutral at worst at 500 psi or so. I would check to see what it takes to sink your suit by itself, assume you will lose most of that at 100ft. Plus the weight of the gas in your tanks, should be less than the lift of your MSR bag. Each liter will give you about 2 lbs of lift. If they are using the 10l and 6l in Mexico (with thinner wetsuits) you can bet you will need the 10l in a 7mm... if it's enough.

I bought the 10L and its really big. I have a big back, but if you're a medium to small guy, it will wrap around your sides. Mine works for me, but YMMV. It also isnt my primary inflation, as I have it attached under a Z-Plus wing as a just in case, since I dive wet.

I don't think that will be much of an issue. It would limit the capacity to some degree, so mount it 90 degrees out. Someone even added a dump and converted the existing cap to a port for corrugated hose and inflator.

Why not buy a new Bat wing from DSS and upgrading the Razor? if it is a financial matter I totally understand and the MSR works OK but if not I highly recommend it.

I have been diving my razor for 2 years and love it with al 80's. I also have a Nomad I use with my 108's. I was just wondering about stages for a dive or 2 next month in cave country.

Not sure why, but DSS no longer has any Razor products listed. I just checked their website.

All Razor harness sales are now through gosidemount. We still produce the Razor, but sales are via gosidemount
