    Default 5th SM dive. Pics

I did my 5th dive in my SM rig today. It is the harness I bought from Capt Tyler along with a UTD wing (20lber). This setup is for my OW AL80 diving. I had been using a single continuous bungee setup. Today I tried a bungee ring setup that I made. I liked the way the bottles hung much better with these. I just did not like the hose routing because of the regs being on the outside. How do you folks using ring bungees deal with this? Right now I had both hoses run up in front of me from each reg. I like this for the right bottle, but not the left. I prefer it around my head, but could not get it ran right. Anyway, I will keep playing with it. So here are three pics that a buddy got of me. Critiques? I know they are not the best pics, but he tried.

The pics are taken with about 1500 in each tank, and the tanks clipped to the front d rings.

I am considering lighter fins, because occasionally it felt like I started to get slightly foot heavy. Not much, just in the beginning of the dive. Any suggestions on a nice light fin?

Thanks. Foot pocket wise, how do those compare with Jet Fins?

My jets stay at home because I couldn't get my boots in them, I still like em when I dive wet though. My Dive rights are very slightly negative in fresh water, so slightly negative that in salt they may be close to neutral. Feet go further into the dive rite pockets than on my Jets, but mine are old, I have heard the newer ones are different?

Thanks for the info. I wear an XL Jet wet or dry. Safe to assume that DR would be an XL as well?

My jets are an L and work OK with just booties, but are too small for "rock boots" My Dive Right are XL and work with the rock boots. The pocket is different, not just larger. If I had to guess, I'd say the DR's would take a wider boot more easily. The pocket is different, I would suggest trying one to be sure.
Old jets didn't have the lightning bolt, correct?

Had to swap out my Jets for Dive Rites because I was so foot heavy in my Jets. ***And one more thing, you gotta scratch up those pretty black tanks man*****

I appreciate the help. I wish I could try one on, but the dive shop down here does not carry Dive Rite. They have a selection of Mares and Scuba Pro. So I am just going to have to go for it and order whatever I want and hope for the best. If I go with the DR, I will just order the XL. I am not sure on the Lightning Bolt question.

I am not real foot heavy. I am able to keep trimmed without any sculling, but at the beginning of the first dive, I did two with those tanks today, I noticed that I was slightly foot heavy at times, but nothing bad. I am sure steel tanks would change that.

Oh, and I like my pretty black tanks!!! LOL...

With the jets, it took 2lbs of lead on my shoulders, one lb on each to trim. You may want to do that, I can only assume when those Al tanks get low, your gonna have to have some lead

I have had the tanks down to 800 in each. I currently have two 1lb weights in the trim pockets on the wing. With full tanks I needed no lead, and when they got low I was struggling! LOL. The 2 pounds helped a lot!
