Cave Diving Equipment

I drive a Ford. The keys are left in the locked car. Did that with a rental Ford once too(found the factory key code in the glove box)... thought I could just memorize the code. Nope. I was sure of 4 of the 5 numbers, and kinda foggy on the order. Took about 20 minutes to get it to open. The following dive the code was written on three different pieces of gear, spread between two divers.

I always keep a lighter in my dive box. There is the typical use for fusing the ends of cave line, but I also use it to very lightly melt the sharp edges off freshly cut zip ties. Skin ain't very tough after a few minutes in the water.

Seen this happen a few times.

I accidentally left my remote control key in my undergarment once. After the dive, when I got back to the car, I was wondering where it was. My tanks were getting heavy, so I went to lay them on a table, and the car suddenly unlocked. The table hit the unlock button inside my drysuit

I just hide the remote in the car, and use a plain brass key to get in, now.
