To those of you that use a reversible second stage for real sidemount cave. Could I ask for your recommendations, opinions/experience? The second stage(s) will marry with a MK25 if that makes a difference.
TIA,
Alan

I had one of my APEKS XTX200's coverted with no issues.
2nd for the Apex.
I use the halcyon aura, it's the equivalent of the scuba pro 395. Both work well.

Apeks XTX50. Breathes like a G250, no issues.
Apeks XTX50. But I would like to know is how long is the hose that you are using? On that side. Thanks.

Your best breathing left hand inlet option is a Scubapro Air 1. It was the predecessor of the D series second stages and had inlet fittings on each side. It used the diaphragm as the exhaust valve and has a commensurately low exhalation effort on top of low inhalation efforts.
Apeks XTX50 - very easy to reverse, dead simple to service.
Another vote for Apeks. I bought a Tek 3 set for backmount and the second stage inlet is easily reversible.
