    Default parting shots for 2011

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Years! Here are a few shots I took over the past few months I wanted to share with everyone. I am looking forward to getting in the water a lot more this year. Hopefully I'll have a lot more underwater photos to share. Safe diving to all.

I am not always a huge HDR fan, because it seems a lot of people over do them, but that HDR looks real nice. Great pics.

Really like the last one too. Lots of interesting things to like on your photo's. You look at things with a good eye.

Exactly my thoughts. Thanks very much. I really think it depends on the subject, this time I think I just got lucky with a great scene for it.

Thank you kindly. I really hope to add a lot more to my portfolio over the next year. Just moved here a few months ago and I've been doing a lot more diving than I ever had.

I'm not a big fan of overdone HDR, either. If you have to ask, "Is it HDR?" then it might be just right. I would have backed off a little on it in that shot, but overall, they're each terrific pictures!

Thank you. I think the shot also looks nice without being an HDR. It was a beautiful morning.

Am I the only one who has no clue what HDR means?

    Barbara,
    Great photos!

No, there is at least one more of us.

You take multiple exposures throughout a range of exposure setting, to get details filled in in all the extremely bright areas and extremely dark areas in the same photo. There is a decent HDR app for android that I use to take very nice phone pictures of dive sites.
