    Default Lost Camera in Jug

While diving Jug this past Saturday (Dec 3rd) I lost a Sealife DC1200 camera. I ended up shooting video via a friends helmet cam and didn't use or notice the Sealife camera missing until we were back in the cavern zone and about to exit. No telling when it came free but no sign of it anywhere in the cavern or around the fencing at the surface..

The camera is buoyant so it is likely on the ceiling someplace between the first room and the EOL.. I'd be happy to give anyone a $100 reward for it.. However, I'd rather have the pictures than the camera..

    Thanks,
    David

I dropped a domeport in the second restriction and somebody found it a couple weeks later. It may turn up. If I knew where that person found it, I'd suggest you look there.

I'm glad someone found it and got it back to you.. Dome ports probably cost more than my camera in total.

We ended up going back to Jug for another dive and to search for it but no sign of it anywhere.. With my luck it probably found its way up into one of the small-medium sized cracks in the ceiling..

Oh well... Lesson learned.. Positively buoyant might be a plus in OW but not so much in the cave..

Not this domeport! It was a snap-on in the front of the housing for my point and shoot. Cost ~$100. I don't even like it that well.

But, don't give up. Someone might get it. Besides, an extra trip to Jug really isn't too much of a tribulation!

I spent a decent amount of time looking up to see if I could spot it, it was not in plain sight of the main line.

BTW it was nice meeting you guys on Sunday, thanks for bringing the cart back for us to use! Made it so we were able to get everything out in 1 trip!

Great news! KenC just PM'd me that he found it this morning.
He said the plastic crap-snap was intact but I'll be changing that out before I take it under again.
Big Thanks to Ken and everyone else who was keeping an eye out for it.

It was nice meeting you all as well... Brandon (Zinc) was the one that brought the cart back down to you guys... He's pretty cool like that..
Hope we can all get together and dive sometime in the near future.

Life is a series of experiences. One after another. Then you die. How cool are your experiences?
