Default PADI Staff Instructor/CD in Cave Country?

I'm making a cave trip in early January, and I also need to do an instructor crossover from PDIC in January....

So I was wondering, are there any Staff Instructors or Course Directors from PADI on here who are in NFL?

I ask here because I know many of us are also OWSI, but I'd prefer someone who'd understand tech/cave diving as well, ergo not posting on ScubaBoard.

Next options I suppose are do the cave trip and just keep going to Vero Beach or the Keys...

    Or Playa del Carmen MX.....

I'm pretty sure you have to go through an idc/ie also.

I agree, I had an Instructor that wanted to cross over to PADI and SDI/TDI from NAUI. I took care of the SDI/TDI but PADI told me that he would have to do an IDC/IE. They dont accept cross overs so we skipped chasing down a CD for him. This might have changed in the last year but I wouldnt thing so.

The funny thing about that it is not the way PADI always did it. When they were a new agency, wanting instructors, they put on huge crossover seminars. I went to one, and there were over a hundred of us in a big room. We listened to how great PADI was for an hour, and the Training Director (Dennis Graver) told us to hold out one hand, turn it palm up, then reach back, and pat ourselves on the back, as we were now PADI instructors

A serious thanks to all! (the PM's as well)

Jeff is EXACTLY the guy I'm looking for. I put in a call today and left a VM.

I sincerely hope we can sort out a schedule that works. He's seems quite the busy fella'!
