That's a good example of why you go until your nose is against the rock. Lots of cave has been missed over the years because folks did the same exact sort of thing, sometimes for many years, in heavily visited caves.
I've found 1000's of feet of big virgin borehole in one place just by wading over a few feet farther than where hundreds of people had gone by. I've walked 80' up the hill from a cave that someone had posted a trip report for the day before and found a virgin 800' long cave.
There's virgin cave out there, some of it may be closer than you think.
If you do look enough you will find stuff. Got several buddies with lists of things to check out.
I trust that this reaches you in the best of health and sprits. Not to hijack but what did you have done, surgery wise.
