NACD Cave Summit 2011

Just wanted to thank everyone that put the Cave Summit together on Sunday. There were some very interesting discussions (I won't get into it, since the video is being posted and you can watch all of it I believe) and some cool products. Just wish a couple of rebreather manufacturers wouldn't have bailed on the summit at the last second....ehem *cough*rEVO*cough*.

Thanks to Larry Green and NACD for setting this up, Curt Bowen and RBW for the t-shirts, Leon and Jerry from ISC for the interesting topics and discussions, Steve from TDI for always responding to my pointed and sometimes biased questions, Brett for always pointing the discussion and questions in the right direction, and all the others who helped make it a great summit.

Finally AUP, not really sure why you brought the Prism 2 if you knew basically nothing about it beside what it said on the pamphlet.

I don't have a dog in this fight but...I spent the week before DEMA with Paul Raymaekers who is the rEvo manufacturing company owner and also with Peter Sotis who has a solid business realationship with rEvo and neither of them ever mentioned any plans to attend the summit.

Jim is correct. Unless I missed something, I did not see their names on the flyer or other communication for the 2011 summit.

I am working on editing the video I shot of the summit and hope to have it up ASAP for those who could not attend. (video Editing takes a lot of time)

I have higher hopes for next years CCR summit to be much larger and more informative, now that I have been elected on the NACD board of directors.

Good to hear that you were voted onto the BOD by the members. That was a good addition, maybe I should have signed up as a member to cast my vote also.
