The class wont be about learning what a stage bottle is etc., I'm fine on that front, I am interested specifically in training on using what I already know and adapting it to the cave environment.

I've actually taken cave diving slower than anything else...I took nitrox with 5 dives, AN/DP with 23 dives...14 of those in double steels(may 2010). I didn't do AOW until I started working on my divemaster cert. I can say with absolute certainty Rob would not have given me a cert if he didn't think I was ready, and I don't expect him to give me a trimix/stage/deep cave cert later on if I'm not ready then either.
That quarry is not the same as being thousands of feet from breathable air. Zero to hero is not what you want for eagles nest lol, but have fun and hope you live.

FWIW, I have over 600 logged cave dives and haven't done Eagle's Nest yet.

Yeah, but you don't dive quarries every weekend :P
Ever surprised by the amount of holes involved in cave diving.

Eagles nest reminds me of diving Peacock with a higher SAC rate. Large no flow cave, it's just deep. I didn't really think it was a difficult cave dive, just requires some basic planning.

I think that's pretty fitting... any punk kid with enough balls and money has a chance of making it there and back. (I lack both)

I think the phrase was probably coined when people were diving it on air...

I suppose I could agree with Eagles Nest being the Everest of Park Caves with Kiosks and Steps into the Water, as oxymoronic as that marriage can be imagined...

    James,
How many dives in the Nest? Personally it is one of my favorites and it has nothing to do with depth. It would be great if it was Peacock depths. Now that there is gold line in there it is basic to follow the line and come back out. There is a lot more cave there than just the gold line. Heck there is a lot more cave there than what has line in it. There are areas in the dome room that I still need to stop and think about how to get back. But heck that is just me.

I'm well aware of that...if I wasn't, why would I bother getting cave training?
