I can give you Bert Wilcher's number. He was great (Cavern & Intro). He doesn't get on the forums much.

Just to clarify, are you looking for an instructor, or someone to share the class with?

Instructor was primary reason for making thread, if I find someone to share the class with that would be fine too :P

I am assuming you are talking about 1-2 stages in OW? Or are you just carrying them around in the cavern for practice. I am not trying to judge and lord know I broke a few rules getting my training. But if you are doing 1-2 stages and up to 3 gas mixes with solo diving in the overhead at the cavern level..Many instructors may have already read this and I think would avoid taking you on if this is the diving you have been doing at the cavern level.

Again I am probaly just reading this wrong and by all means tell me to mind my own business if this is a miss understanding on my part. Just trying to help. Also might be helpfull if you had an idea of where you wanted to do your training.

I would love to know where I could do a 2 stage 3 gas cavern dive? I've never seen one lol.

No that's all open water in a quarry or saltwater. The only over head for those dives was a "virtual one"

p.s. you selectively missed the "AN/Deco/rec trimix/solo/divemaster TDI certs as well" portion of that post.

Course scheduled June 29/30 with Rob Neto on the millpond in marianna. 2 open spots

Still looking for Full cave afterwards, will continue with Rob if possible(availability dependent) but will absolutely happen in July.

I dont know, with all that experience it would seem to make an instructors job alot easier. Some will scold you for breaking rules that you mention, some figure you made it out alive and are ready to do the right thing and take a class. Good luck with your choice. I only have personal experience with the Heinerths, who are both in Bermuda. I like Rich Courtney though and think he would be a good choice. Larry Green as well.

What rules did I break? I didn't use any gases or go anywhere I don't have a piece of plastic for. I guess the fact that I was solo for most of them may be breaking some rules since my solo card is actually considered a recreational card(ie <130' NDL etc) but to me this sport is a solo sport carried out socially anyway. I would never do a dive with someone else I wasn't comfortable doing solo(except training related) simply because it can very easily become a solo dive.

The only rule I was thinking was stage diving in the overhead. But since you were nor doing so...who cares. I don't think solo cavern diving is a big deal rob is a great instructor you will have a great time and learn a ton
