Default Spring database on Google Earth

First, if you do not have Google Earth installed on your computer, go get it, then double click on the Florida springs file.

This is almost all of the springs in Bulletin 66., which is the geological survey's record of almost all the springs in Florida. I suggest you have both the .kmz file and Bulletin 66 on your desktop and laptop, they are very handy when traveling. If you see a waypoint for a feature that is not in Bulletin 66, try clicking on it to get info about it. ( Look at the area around Hart Springs to see what I mean)

I use these in tandem, finding the location of a spring with Google Earth, then going to Bulletin 66 to get information about it.

If you wish to convert the Florida Springs.kmz file to another format- ie. a hand held or boat mounted gps, try GPS Babel.

Let me know if you need help with any of this.

    Enjoy,
