Starting this morning, and using Internet Explorer, there are many threads I've already read that are marked as having new posts. I can refresh...leave the site and come back...shut down my browser session altogether...still showing threads/posts I've read as being "new".
Get busy livin', or get busy dyin'
I think the change in settings reset everybody's list of unread posts. I clicked on the "mark Forums as Read" button in the "Forum Actions" in the sub-bar at the top of the page and now everything works perfect. I don't use Tapatalk, but whatever the change was made it better for using the forum on Chrome.

TJ, It works! I just logged in and reset all my forums (had to re-read some). I logged out and back in and it stuck. I logged in using Tapatalk and tyhe pointers stayed the way I see them in my browser. Logged out of Tapatalk, back to IE and the pointer remain constant between all accesses. I loaded it up in Chrome too and its set. No longer requires you to use the same browser to keep your pointers.
Sorry to the rest of the board that will have to do the catchup one time.
Hope you can leave it this way.
Care to elaborate on the mobile skins?
Its been a month since the change was made... anyone have positive or negative feedback relating to the message read pointers?
My internal IT Service Management alarm went off and I realize we didnt perform a post implementation (PIR) review...![]()
It works but it's still not completely right. If you have multiple forums on the app you should know what I'm talking about, but here is the best explanation that I can give.
If you log onto the CDF you'll see the newly created post, but the box that shows the thread count in the left corner of the thread will not be highlighted in grey color, and when your done reading the thread it stays under the "Unread" tab. Normal operation is for new post to be highlighted grey and once read it will automatically be removed from the Unread tab.
Not a big deal, but like I said still not correct. At least it's not marking everything read as soon as I log in anymore.
All other forums on my app work correctly.

God Bless.
