I'm heading up to JB on the 22d, anyone have a recommendation of where to stay?
    Thanks

Edd has a rate deal with the Americas best inn. 30 a night for a single 37 for a double. It's just a flop house, so don't expect grandeur. I spend all my time at JB since it's open 24/7 and only hit the hotel to sleep.

You could talk to Edd and stay at the trailer next door to the dive shop.

Best option, Hole in the Wall house. Prolly next best is renting a trailer from Edd. Next best would be one of the hotels near the Ext 142 on I-10, there's a couple that are nice and in the $50 range.

I usually stay at the Executive Inn, its on Hwy 90, west side of town, costs less than $40 a night, and its atleast usually clean(not so much nice though). I'd recommend it over the American Inn since I'm not a big fan of sleeping with various types of insects.

I stayed at the microtel inn right off the interstate last weekend in Marianna. It was nice and clean but you have to hit the free breakfast early to eat.

Executive Inn works out ok if you bring a couple of cans of febreeze for the room and a charcoal filtered mask for when you have to walk into the office.

We have started going to the Holiday Inn Select. Free WiFi and breakfast! Plus you can stumble back from Ruby Tuesdays unassisted....

I stayed somewhere New Year's Eve with FW and SG - I believe it was America's Best. We got there around 2am and left around 7am, so I didn't notice anything really wrong with it. It was dark, which is what I desire in a motel room.

Thanks gang for the info The plan is to drive up the 22 two of us, escorted scooter dive with Paul Heinerth on Thursday. Probably dive JB on Friday, then to Madison or Peacock. If any of you are in the area, love to meet up with you. I will be the old guy struggling with new side mount and DX3.
    Thanks
    John
PS Investigation still open with the ME on Wes Skiles!

You get that same smell at the American Inn across the street, but with bugs!
