When I worked on Piranha 3D we worked really hard at keeping it as real as possible. However ......... the one thing we came up against every time was "this is Hollywood - we make stuff up all the time" The good thing is we kept our end so tight and the training on the talent and stunt people so specific that they did not get a chance to screw up too much, as a result in P3D there are only two glitches I saw and know of in the final edit.

Gene Page (set photographer) and I are doing a presentation on the Making of Piranha 3D at the November NACD conference.

Like the scene that they enter the cave without a guideline?

The biggest mistake is that I ended up with one of the Rebreathers from one of the dead guys in the movie. I guess it is not cursed since I am still around.

100% reliable. I have over 300 hours on it so far and not one reliability issue. Only had to replace an inhale CL that got a hole in it from too many tight restrictions. Very few changes from when you had it. I recently put the brighter LED boards in the Hammerhead handsets and now it is easy and a pleasure to read the displays on deep dark cave dives.
