LOL.... (I have no clue where the smileys are...) he should have tried moving a bit to the side to a bigger part of the cave lol.... that dive was fun

Are you sure it does not go further, or should we look solo? I am sick of not diving and now and it is actually starting to get to me, I am writing this with my helmet on.
you do need to double check, was too muddy

Well, I actually voted before I read the entire first post. At home, I try to do a skills dive at least once a month, and run through S-drills and valve drills, gas switches, putting bottles down and picking them up, and the like. But I don't practice line skills much at home -- usually a dive or so before we leave on a cave diving trip -- and I am STILL horribly guilty about not practicing lights-out line following exits and moving the team across the line, even though it was made abundantly clear to me in Cave 2 that those are skills you absolutely lose if you don't use them.

But I'm good at backup light deployment. THAT's the only cave skill I've had to use in anger

I would like to know what reel that is? This weekend I got to see a Salvo reel jammed. I did not know that there was a reel that NEVER jams.

All reels jam at some point, even the best "jam proof" ones. Practicing jamming a reel many many times out of the water really helps to unjam it fast underwater, at least it does for me.

I usually just start wrapping the string around the whole body and sort it out on the surface. Removing the c-clip underwater and getting it back on without it falling is tough. Another skill Id like to try is in the event of wing failure diving wet, how hard it is to ride someone out.
