Call for letters of support: RE: South Abaco Blue Holes Conservation Area

Fellow cave divers,
The Bahamian Government has asked us to complete our proposal for the protection of 17 blue holes located here on Abaco Island. We have had a great deal of local support for creating a 9 mile long blue holes conservation area on athe southern part of the island which contain some of the most highly decorated underwater caves on earth. If you have dived these sites, are a cave diver who is concerned with protecting underwater caves, or just think this is a worth project, PLEASE send me a letter of support for the protection of these amazing sites (e-mail: bahamacave@aol.com ). Please support cave conservation in Abaco by simply fill out the link form and submitting. Every vote helps protect the caves in Abaco and also brings awareness to government officials that we need to protect our resources.

Thanks to all who have added their names to the letters for the Blue Holes Protection Proposal! In 72 hours we got over 175 support letters from the
US, Canada, Japan, China, Greece, Spain, UK, France, Brazil, Germany, Italy. I have been sending thank you e-mails back to each person who submitted a letter, but I'm still trying to catch up! Thanks again for everyone's input. If you know anywone else who may be interested, Please send them the link in Curt's message above. The proposal writing was finished today and now it's heading up the chain, so keep your fingers crossed!!
