    Default New Sidemount harness.

This harness was brought into the US from Mexico, by a French cavediver.

I am not sure how easy it would be to get all the hardware. D-rings are easy, but the triangle, and square "rings" might be harder. There is no stitching involved. The webbing is just folded over, and run back through the weight keepers.

EDIT: The square and triangle parts for the new sidemount harness are now available in the US. PM me for the contact information if you want to get them. They are $10.00 for both + shipping.

True, but you are still stuck with figuring out how to get some kind of B.C. to attach to it, if you use big steel tanks in deep water.

It probably works great with AL 80s, in shallow water.

Is it similar to the Razor that Steve B uses?

I made something similar a number of years ago, I used big round rings in place of the square and triangle he used.

The only reason I used round is I was in a hurry and it's all I had.

This rig looks much nicer than mine.

I *think* it is a cheaper copy of Steve's. It doesn't have such specialized hardware. And no, I don't know who he got it from.

Roger that (don't forget the shipping...). I think it is a good design and would love to try it. If it were a $100 bucks, I would probably have just ordered it to try it. As it stands now, I was thinking about just cutting the two brackets myself...
