Does anyone know who put the Gold Dot bowling ball past the restriction at 97 feet?

    ROFL!

    No.

But I've made several tries at retrieving it. I don't think it can be gotten even no-mount any more, as the sands are shifting back the wrong way. My best guess is that someone was attempting to use it as a tool (bashing tool) and dropped it.

Oh well. It'd be nice to be able to push that restriction, but I don't think I'd fit even no-mount..... someone is rumored to have made it though - but I've not heard a report of what's beyond it - and until I do I'm not inclined to believe the claims....

Gates always open, well at least the last few times I have been there.
Boaters are using it to launch now, so be careful when surfacing

We have pictures of me trying to reach the bowling ball, but my arms are not long enough. There is currently no charge for diving at Morrison. Watch the river levels, when they are high it is very tannic and vis can be near zero outside the cavern. Of course inside there is a lot of flow, so it is usually clear (unless you get a group of divers stirring up the bottom). We were there one weekend and there were probably 40-50 divers. Luckily for us, they were mostly open water and stayed out of the cavern. It is a nice dive in the winter when the Gulf is too cold & the waves are too high.

    Have fun,

Our stunt double buddy is innocent of this particular charge. (We won't discuss what he might actually be guilty of since someone might infer culpability on our part as well ). He didn't know it was in there until I told him about it. And I couldn't reach it to get it out either.
Take it easy, it's not supposed to be work.

I was under the impression that is was placed there at his request by another gentleman you may have met over the weekend. I think we should start a secret hand shake.

The secret handshake idea is taken by the most elite cave divers of the world...

You might want to think about a secret word like "s t r o k e" or something like that...
