Default Frayed line in Devil's Eye

FYI: The Mainline is frayed right before the Mud Tunnel jump. Might be worth taking a look.
Why get training, when I have TDS, CDF & RBW?

Whoops. Still frayed. I hadn't remembered where you had said it was frayed. But saw yesterday afternoon that it is badly cut at one 1/2" spot about 8 ft before the jump. Someone had a jump line into Mud /Expressway pulling sideways on it. Gonna go soon. There is so much pull on it, I didn't know how to patch it.

I called the shop at Ginnie just now and reported it there.

My buddy put a length of cave line on the area to hold it together if it does happen to break. We did not do a repair to the mainline, just added extra line.

The gold is completely frayed and only the inner white strands are still holding.

Talk to Jim Wyatt and I will be up mid week to try and fix it.

This has been fixed. I dunno who did it, but the line today had been cut and retied. the backup line is still in place though.

Yup thanks to who ever fixed it, still wondering why so many knew about it and did not fix it. Should have been done bye the first group that say it and fixed it. Part of FUll Cave is the responsabilities of a Cave Diver. Or you leave a dangerous situation for the next team.

I know 2 divers who did a temp "fix" like you learn in class but with all the line committees etc didn't want to do more. Plus they didn't have the yellow line. They notified Jim who is on the line committee

That is pretty much the protocol nowadays with active line committees.
As long as conditions permit, folks should do temporary repairs.
