Very Nice Article, wish you all the best in your ventures. Are you still pushing this cave or are you working on others?

This is the coolest cave in the DR, one of those dives were you have a big smile on your face the whole time.

yes, is very cool besides there are no stalactites, which is very weird as well because the nearests caves are totally full of them.

I forgot to mention just in case, we have done all the dives and survey in backmount, but we really consider it a sidemount cave since is very low and tight in most of it, specially if you are not used to tight places.
funny to say, I have done one or 2 dives in sidemount there (thanks to phil) and I still like better to do it in backmount

I would not say La Jeringa is completely done....
There are a few small improvements we can make still.
I look forward to trip #5 to the DR soon!
    Thanks Cris

Cristina and Dave...you guys have done a good job in this cave!

There are some formations on the right had side of the first room (30' to the right of the entrance) ; there is a nice alter over there and a bunch of formations along the edge. As you guys know, most of the caves in the park end in terminal breakdown. If you look at the seismic activity charts for that area it would suggest that these breakdowns might be a result of that. Unfortunately, the entire park is now shut down. We did 5 dives in La Jeringa over the past few days, 1 in Chicho and a few other spots.

As you guys can see this system is/was a nice sinkhole with an animal trap at the bottom. Most of the rock seen around the pumphouse and around the entrance was installed and is not natural.

Dave...I agree. We added a little bit of line in July and pushed a few no mount leads. Those all pinched off. However, I agree. There is more there.
