Default Cave Diving film | SICK - a must see

I just got a copy of "A Cave Diver Story" - has anyone else seen this cave diving movie? It's by far some of the best footage of the Mexican Cave Diving system. An hour of amazing HD footage of the underwater caves of Mexico. It's pretty sweet. Check this one out at: A Cave Diver Story

If you love cave diving you gotta check this out.

Ok, I agree that having your first post be a promotion may be a bit questionable. I do not know any of the people in the video or whoever made it, but I have to say the video is good!
I picked up a copy from amazon. The video feels like an IMAX or National geographic documentary. It follows Steve Bogaerts and Robbie Schmittner as they explore, look for new caves, and tell cave diving story's. Overall the documentary is awesome. Cave diving is a little romanticized in my opinion, but it's excellent entertainment that even a non-cave diver would enjoy. I'd recomend the video to anybody its definatly worth a view

The video clips are good quality and look nice. Teasers, so to speak....

It would have been good to have an introductory post before the advert.... we have NO idea who you are or what your interests (other than selling DVD's) are.....

So sad to see a seemingly interesting product promoted so awfully.

I got a copy of the DVD. It was reasonably priced and it got here in just a day (not bad for free shipping). The DVD is good; definately worth the $17. It is about 50-something minutes long. There are some great shots in it and it has somewhat of a story line with a little bit of history here and there. The wife even said she'd watch the whole thing after she saw a few minutes of me watching it -- that's saying something. There are a couple of story telling sessions where stock video or reenactments were used. A little bit cheesy at times, but I'm guessing this is not a multi-million dollar Hollywood production and plus they mentioned they had 1 week of filming at the beginning (I recently watched the new X-men, so maybe you should not watch them side by side ). While I don't know I would be as enthusiastic as BigD, I can say this is a video I can watch more than once. Enjoy!

Perhaps a mod can clean up this thread a bit -- remove BigD's obvious ad, fix the title, and leave the reviews.

    Cheers,
    Jeff

    Agreed.

This was much better than I thought it would be.

Really beautiful footage, great historical footage, nice story. A great introduction to non cave divers, and non divers in general. It has something for every audience.

Having spent time in Angelita and the Pit, it was great to be reminded of their beauty.

I can't imagine someone not liking the movie (unless you have some dislike of Bogaerts personally.) I definitely recommend it to anyone who is still on the fence about purchasing it... the initial posts about it were a turnoff, but the video is not.

    Bravo.

Ok, I bit and purchased it. Never been to Mexico and I don't know Steve, but I like the film. Something different from the typical "let's watch someone dive thru this cave" video. It tells a story, has good narration, etc. Well done. Gives you a sense of what it's like to research, find new cenotes and dive new territory. A lot of hard work.

Well, I can't say that it's the best footage of Mexico caves I've seen, but for the low budget film as it is, it good... and got a good story and sound. That's whats make a film... shitty photos can be ok, if the story is good and the sound brings you in.

    thats my opinion...
