FYI -- I did it again

86 replies and almost 4000 views so lets cut to the chase. If anyone knows this instructors name, and I'm sure a lot of you do, then turn in a report to Jim Wyatt and let him and his crew decide...

I remember that! We did an hour dive in 6-10 feet of water on CCR! It was awesome!

JJ, except that this is a huge violation of standards. This is an NSS-CDS instructor. NSS-CDS Standards clearly state you can't start a cave dive with less than 2000psi. So there is no "return to...

If I recall correctly, the OOG occurred during the ascent at the beginning of the eye. But it doesn't matter, running out of gas at 100', 60' or 10' is still an issue.

They were using back gas for decompression. I asked why. Their answer, and I quote, "Because we don't have the training to deco on oxygen". Like I said when we started this thread, there were so...

Actually Jim there are a number of things you can do.
You COULD investigate, but choose to wait for an "official" report.
That sounds to me like a self created barrier, one that historically causes...

Oooops, you're right, my bad. I quoted the wrong person, but still enjoyed the string coming alive, again. Hey, I'll audit any coarse these days, as I learn more the second time around. I need to do...

If they knew him, then they would never even have spoken to him. Hell, they probably would have chosen EE for their gas just on the off chance he may have been at CCDS. With 1000+ dives at Ginnie I...

FYI -- I did it again

I won't lie-- I've spent enough time in the gallery to get down to 500-700psi or so and then did a little deco, especially when testing near gear or learning to use a camera in a cave.

    I'd like to...
