I have been working on the Old Freetown system line for the last month and made major changes.
All the connecting Ts on the traverse from Owl Hole to Mermaid's Lair have been cut back.
There is now a continuous guideline between the two entrances.
With the help of my cave diving buddy Arek I have also removed the old exploratory line and changed it to a new exploratory line. The route has changed only slightly to avoid fragile corners and unnecessary zig-zag. NO changes were made to the location of the beginning of the main line.
Please remember to verify the traverse prior to completing it.
Ts remain in all the other tunnels and lines in the system.
Next week I will start the survey of the main line. I have mantained the arrows direction as the originals, but after the survey I should be able to place them according to the real distance from each exit. Arrows change direction at a point during your dive.

Tony,
I am in Freeport, Grand Bahama. Water temperature in the cave is 74F year round. Fresh water on the surface, salt water below 30ft. System is open to divers. PM if you have any further questions,
thank you
Cristina

Sheesh... I've been to Freeport... I had no idea there were diveable caves there! I ended up on a Booze Cruise for lack of better things to do. Okay... maybe I still would have done that anyway. But, who knew... Do you have a website with some details, transportation, tank rental, etc? Freeport is closer to me than NFL and there's a boat that goes over almost every weekend.

Cristina; Nice job! And, I can knock that off of my list of things to do over there.
Can I assume the traverse line goes thru the "big room" and picks up the plaque?
Are the remaining T's still numbered the same?

TIA, David

David, I thought the plaque would look best in my living room.
As for the Ts the ones removed are:
1-2-3-10-11-12-13-26-25-24-23-22-18-19-20-21
The rest are still the same.

Jack! How are you?
I did not see that marker, but did not remove anything from the line. I only added extra arrows at the side lines which are now jumps. The arrows on the old line were placed again on the new line, nothing changed.
I am doing good, cave diving a lot all over the island, Arek and I are having a great time.
