Any one out there using a transpac with a recwing for sidemount? instead of a nomad wing. How do you make it work with the waist strap?

That combination was pretty popular a few years ago. The Rec wing goes *under* the transpac. It connects with bolts through the holes that the backplate uses. DR made some fancy hardware for it, but regualr bolts, nuts, and washers work too. There were some cute gizmos to wrap the rec wing around your chest, but #36-#72 line will work fine, just not as quick to connect. Look around on this forum, and you will find some pictures of similar systems.

This is my exact setup.... transpac/Rec wing/butt plate. See here for some pics. Let me know if you have questions.

I'm actually working on a little update to improve the left/right trim. Not on pics.

My last rig before the Nomad used a Recwing. I had the seamstress sew plastic loops onto the rec wing as on the Trek and used the belly strap. It worked very well which is why it was the starting point of the Nomad research.
