View Full Version : Yet another mystery photo

This is probably an unfair challenge given the age, but I have a photo of a Florida sinkhole/dive site in my 1960s/70s collection that I didn't label back then and don't remember now. I think it was probably in the Tallahassee area, but I'm not sure. Anybody recognize it?

Is that Gopher with a period or question mark? It could be because I did dive Gopher back then (at night, so I'm not sure what it looked like). I had been thinking Little Dismal for no particular reason.

Im going to say Gopher sink.

The ledge in the back of Mat's picture does look like the ledge on the side of my picture and the general shape does seem the same. In thinking back on it, I did visit the Gopher a couple times during the day (altho' my faded recollection is the sink was surrounded more by dirt roads than trees?), and I likely took a picture of it as a place I had dove. So I think you all are right.
